Strands/hanks

These items are groups of pearls that have been matched to make one or more strings (generally 16 inches = 405mm long) and are called "temp strung"  in customs parlance.   Necklaces and bracelets are made by restringing one or more strands, and adding parts such as clasps where needed.   Some items that have been strung are available under the "Necklaces" heading.
